Do You Think I Should Get This Horse?

He is a chestnut Thoroughbred gelding. 16.1hh. About 9 year old.
Has been to two shows, won everything entered in basically. Is jumping 90cm at home and in competition, scored 61% in his first ever dressage test, placing him third from a strong field. Needs a bit of work, still gets a bit silly sometimes. Has been off the track 3 years
He does windsuck sometimes but stops as soon as you put a collar on him.

What do you think of his conformation and movement?

They are asking 000 for him.

Do you think I should get him?

Thos are two photos of him

Please let me know what you think. Thanks
ADD: I've been riding 13 years. Have had experience with all types of horses.
And its not a headcollar. If you put a windsucking/ cribbing collar e.g. miracle collar.
another ADD:
Thats Twelve Thousand they're asking just to clear that up.
Thirteen thousand if I want his kieffer saddle too

He’s lovely but not worth the money. I’ve seen Tb’s that are just as nice or nicer with more experience and talent for $1,200 not 12,000. I think they’re asking too much especially since he windsucks. If you don’t mind him being way overpriced I’m sure he’d be fun.

He’s a beautiful horse, but he is way too expensive. You can get even nicer horses that have no vices for much less than that. He’s gorgeous, but not worth it.

This horse is Absolutely beautiful! I think you should get him! it sounds like you are quite experienced and could use the challenge of horse that occasionally gets silly to keep you on your toes. The wind sucking is minor set back and but if he is easy to stop then that’s fine! I am very exited for you! He looks like a great horse for you! Congratulations! Have Fun with your new horse! I hope could help=) Congratulations and have fun!!!

Well, what a beautiful horse. He has seemed to have come a long way since he came off the track. As you said that you had 13 years in riding experience and could handle him, I think that you would be an awesome owner for him. I bet that you will have lots of fun owning him!

    Hope that this helps!
    Good Luck!

Its a beautiful horse. My father always regretted never owning a horse, and for that price its a steal. Go for it

I need to know how tall you are. are you used to horses like this or are you novice. if novice i would not recommend you get a silly horse. what if you are not there when he is wind sucking and there’s no one to put a head collar on him? you have to consider these things.

If he’s a confident jumper I think it over comes silliness. He looks gorgeous! With older age cribbing causes a bit of flabbiness so keep the collar on at all times when not being ridden(just in case you didn’t know)

Gosh he is gorgeous! If you can afford him lucky you!

I would go and ride him yourself and see what you think. How do you feel on him? How does he move/work/respond to you? Go and see what you think, and I always ask for a trial when getting a horse, just to be sure he is the right one for you and you can test him out fully.

there’s two types of people in this economy..

People that are struggling to pay their bills and make their morgage payment..

And people who buy Pony’s and Horses…why??…(sarcastically) "Cause they’re So darn Cute! <3333"
